Hello Jean, thank you so much for your reply to my enquiry. I now have that particular book but thank you anyway. I have just discovered that AGB was the walking partner of Henry James and that his secretary was friends with AGB's daughter. The detective work goes on! Very best wishes and Merry Christmas. Dear Chris, For the location of both houses go to www.ryemuseum.co.uk and click at right on Literary Rye --> Writers in Rye, then scroll down to Arthur Bradley. There are some AGB quotes elsewhere on the site. The second house, West Watch, is still very much there, near the top of Traders Passage. |

I am interested in the author Arthur Granville Bradley, who lived in Rye in the early 1900s in a) Red Cottage and b) West Watch. Would anyone know if these houses still exist, and if so where they may be located? I would also be very grateful for any other information about him. |
