Wittersham Church opens it's doors to the two-day Flower Festival. This year’s theme is ‘All the Saints’, in addition to acknowledging the Church’s Patron Saint, St John the Baptist, the church will be decorated with almost forty displays depicting a wide variety of saints and their patronage from Sebastian(Archers) to Fiacre (Gardeners/ Herb Growers) to St Christopher (Travellers), St Michael the Archangel(Military), St Joseph of Arimathea – Parton saint of Funeral Directors. The displays will also include St Crispin(Shoemakers) and St Ambrose (Beekeepers and Candlemakers) to name but a few. The Festival continues Sunday 6th August.
We welcome everyone to come and view the displays, enjoy the produce stall, partake of all day homemade refreshments and from 2pm each day climb the Tower and admire far reaching views across surroundings countryside and out to sea (separate charge applies).
