Hi, if you don't already have a pony for your daughter, I have several at home in playden. If this isn't too far to travel, you are more than welcome to talk to me about coming to ride and get involved with the horses and ponies. There are 9 of all shapes and sizes. Cheers, Alli

Hi, how are you? I've changed it to 'The Marquee' and gone a bit wild and wacky with the interior ... guess you'll have to see it! love the idea of letting you run it!!! I'm putting in a beach volleyball pitch to liven up the Strand Quay and Rye generally. If you need accomodation I've got a flat at the oast thats free at the moment ... re schools, I went to bolton girls school, tho have lurked in the area for 11 years as resident, and 6 years prior to that doing film shoots, castings, styling, on site catering etc. mmmmm fate's a strange thing ... you never know what might happen. exciting tho, cheers, Alli PS got fantastic plans for the Marquee (cafe) etc.

Hi I own the River Cafe on the Strand Quay and it has been rented out to John and Bob. Their tenancy expires at the end of October this year and I will be taking it back for the first time since 2005. It has had various tenants in its brief history, but none of them have fully understood what this bizarre little 'shack' I created in 2004 is all about.
As lifestyles change due to the recession, I've decided to completely redecorate the place. With winter around the corner, its to have a hot Moroccan theme, tapas style food available all day and evening, at sensible prices; a fully licensed bar; and all the tables and chairs will be on the deck under the marquee, replaced with sofas and a lounging area inside - relaxation and papers, internet and great music.....a place to relax and be inspired.
There are moorings available for FREE and I want to relaunch and provide Rye with something, frankly, it hasn't got.
I shall post the opening night on this board and if you're interested in coming you can email me on email@example.com. cheers, Alli

Relax, Eat, & Enjoy by the river at the River Cafe.
Unique to Rye, the River café offers a fully licensed 165 foot decked area on the edge of the River Tillingham, in the Strand, central Rye.
The Café is a completely new concept for Rye, &, as with all things new, there was as much controversy as there was excitement. Finally, after almost two years of continued belief in a dream, we have arrived.
We have created a bohemian meeting place that will both inspire & relax, whilst offering high quality food at affordable prices in a unique & informal location.
The brilliant combination of John Harper, of the ‘Harpers’ Acoustic & Music Club in Hastings, & also the original ‘Little Johnny’ of Fanny Craddock television fame; Gloria & David Satterfield former owners of ‘Rumples of Peasmarsh’ & TV catering duo ‘Bourne to Cook’; & last, in fact no doubt least, Allison Riches, the creator of the River Café & film location promoter, together form the driving force behind the River Café.
Look out for our forthcoming events & themed evenings which will be weekly, such as our season of ‘Food Theatre’, starting with:
‘An Evening With Fanny’
‘I Once Did It With The Galloping Gourmet’,
& finally, the equally hilarious
‘Who’d Eat In An Outfit Like That’
based on a true life depiction of one of Lloyd Grossman’s’ earlier relationships.
The opening times are as follows:
Thursday noon through till early evening Sunday (open all day)
Thursday nights – themed 3 course dinner & entertainment £9.99
Friday & Saturday nights- full A La Carte menu
Thursday & Friday Day – A la Carte, all day breakfast & light bites
Saturday &Sunday (9am onwards) are our Lazy Brunch days with the papers, endless coffee, all day Canadian, English & Scandinavian Breakfasts, with light bites Sat & on Sundays we rustle up our delicious endless roasts - £7.99 for as much as you can eat!
In fact, why not bring your laptop & take advantage of Free internet access?
We are available for private & corporate hire during the week for bookings of 10 or more, & can offer a tailor made menu to suit your budget. (short notice is not a problem)
As well as displaying local artists work within the Café, starting on Saturday’s we are providing colourful stalls along the decked area, under our marquee, offering a chance for local crafts & arts people to display their wares pre Xmas. (contact us creative people !)
**Book now for our hugely popular Beaujolais Nouveau Night 16th November **
Hosted by Johnny Harper portraying himself in ‘who’s ‘ad mi onions?’ inc.a set dinner for £9.99
& Don’t forget Christmas bookings - call Alli on 01797225715 / River Café on 01797 222292
If you produce this advertisement, you can claim a free half bottle of wine for two.
(This offer is not applicable on Thursday nights as its cheap enough already!)
