Donovans of Rye

9th September 2017

James Williams:

From James Williams.
I am related to Sarah Mahala Donovan who was born in Rye in 1852. I posted a request for any information on the DONOVANS about 4 years ago and monitored the Message Board fo several months with no results. However a week ago I checked the Message Board again and was surprised to see 2 posts relating to the DONOVANS ( one by Mike Donovan and another by Laura Martin - Hughes). The posts were 1 and 2 years old when I found them and I have posted 2 replies to them with the hope that they might look on the message Board at some time and with that in mind I will continue to monitor the site

By chance I happen to look on the Rye Message Board and saw your post.
Over the past year I have done considerable research on the Donovan Family and would be more than happy to exchange any information with you.

James Williams:

Hello Laura.
By chance I looked on the Rye Message Board and saw you post.
I assume you are descended from Susanna and George Edwin Woolley.
Over the last year I have Done a considerable amount of research on the Donovans and am always looking for any new information on other branches of Donovans and as yet have not gone down Susannas line.
Should you be willing perhaps we could share information.
James Williams.

Donovan Family

27th February 2013

James Williams:

My name is James Williams and I am hoping that somebody knows, or knows somebody else who knows, of any families with the name Donovan living in Rye. My great grandmothers name was Sarah Mahala Donovan and her father and mother were Daniel Donovan and Susanna (Nee Williams) and they lived in Seymour Place (now Rope Walk) in the 1870s.
