Froglets Cottage is quietly situated in picturesque East Street and is a charming, light and spacious grade 2 listed cottage dating from the 18C. Behind its deceptive Victorian façade, the cottage surprises many guests as it is timber framed from an earlier era, and still retains much charm and character. It comfortably sleeps up to six guests in three bedrooms and welcomes a large number of return visitors year upon year.

Quality furnishings include comfortable sofas and beds, numerous antiques, including a pine dining table and chairs to the main living room and a scrubbed pine table and chairs in the comfortable breakfasting kitchen. The living room has television, DVD, CD player, and the old pantry has been turned into a characterful study complete with games, cards and books of all descriptions to keep everyone entertained in the event of bad weather.

The kitchen is newly fitted with a modern stove style oven and hob, washer/drier, fridge and freezer along with microwave and full cooking equipment, quality cutlery, crockery and glassware.

There is a spacious rear hallway offering plenty of space for storing beach and holiday items, leading to a small walled rear courtyard area suitable for drying.

Unlike many ancient cottages, the oak paneled and timbered landing is approached by an easy staircase, making this cottage suitable for all age groups.

The master bedroom is light and sunny with a large bay window and ample room for a travel cot if necessary. This room is well equipped with TV and radio as well as ample wardrobe space. There is a further comfortable double room to the rear of the property, and also a twin room (with one bed stacking under the other when not in use) both with fitted wardrobes. The bathroom is modern and comprises of bath with mixer taps and shower attachment, low level WC and hand basin.

Unusually for Rye citadel, there is street parking outside the cottage.
