When you arrive at Hayesland Lodge with just the sound of birdsong and the bleating of sheep to greet you, you know immediately that you’ve found somewhere especially peaceful and relaxing to stay. The long views across the gentle, rolling countryside of the Tillingham valley serve to reinforce this sense of tranquillity.

If you’re a nature lover or keen walker the lodge will prove to be the perfect retreat. This unspoilt corner of East Sussex forms part of the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty; there are plenty of footpaths to explore right on the doorstep and the Nature Reserves Brede High Woods and Beckley Woods are both less than two miles away.

If you can bear to tear yourself away from this rural idyll, an easy 6 mile drive down Sussex lanes will take you to the medieval Cinque port of Rye, where you can explore its ancient harbour, cobbled streets, antique shops, galleries and large variety of pubs and restaurants. Drive a little further and you’ll come to the golden beaches of Camber Sands.

Whether you just want to stay put, relax and soak up the marvellous views or get out and explore the area, Hayesland Lodge provides an extremely comfortable base. Set in the garden of Hayesland farmhouse yet affording guests ample privacy, it combines the latest in building technology with traditional design and craftsmanship, bespoke solid oak joinery being a striking feature throughout the accommodation.

Accommodation:
Entrance from the driveway under a covered porch. Hallway and downstairs cloakroom/wc. Sitting room with dining area and French windows opening out onto a south-facing paved patio affording stunning views across farmland. Fitted kitchen area, semi open-plan to the sitting room, with hand-built units and oak worktops. Carpeted stairs lead up to the first floor landing. Double bedroom with plenty of clothes storage and stunning views from the velux windows. Shower room/wc with ‘monsoon’ shower and heated towel rail.

Outside, the private patio garden, adjoining fields, is a wonderful spot to relax and unwind.
