Weve been coming to Rye regularly for over 15 years now and this is our second stay at the Boathouse. If there is a more perfect place to stay in Rye, weve yet to find it. Its the place to stay for easy access to the charms of Rye and the countryside beyond.

We've really enjoyed this holiday. To see a river instead of a road, a boat instead of a car is one of the best things about it. We watched a heron on the far bank last night and a fox on this side tonight. Rye is lovely, plenty of choice for eating out. The old streets and houses take you back in time. The accommodation is first class, very clean and comfortable.

The Boathouse what a find! A very relaxing week.
Ideal spot to undertake some undisturbed painting and writing. Rye is great, so full of history and all within easy reach on foot.
