The Ferry Inn is an ancient, Seventeenth Century pub and restaurant that was the home of the ferry between the Isle-of-Oxney and the English mainland at Appledore. The Ferry is situated in beautiful countryside between Tenterden, Appledore, Stone-in-Oxney and Wittersham and adjoins the historic Saxon Shore Way. It is also only 6 miles away from Camber Sands and Rye. Our Head Chef, Phillip Camilleri, has been in the catering trade for over 30 years. Phillip has recently introduced a brand new summer menu featuring variations on some of our favourite dishes together with some delightful new additions. He prefers to use use locally sourced ingredients, where possible, and all food is prepared to order. Fresh fish from the daily catch from Rye, Hastings and Folkestone is featured on the menu whenever possible. The Ferry Inn, also known as the Oxney Ferry, enjoys late sun and beautiful views all year round from the pub's front terrace and riverside garden.
